NMT New Medical Technologies is a venture partner investing in medical and healthcare technologies and services. Its focus is to foster start-ups in Switzerland and the surrounding regions (Alpine Rim) as well as to invest globally in late stage private and promising public companies. NMT seeks investment opportunities in biopharmaceutical and medical technologies from universities and other private entities as well as spin-offs from large corporations. Furthermore, NMT attracts overseas start-ups, early- and late-stage companies to the Alpine Rim, supporting them in technology bundling and building up European operations as well as in going public. The Company was founded in 1997 by Roche, UBS and a small group of private investors. It was acquired by HbM BioVentures AG in February 2003.
