Description:

John joined Accel as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence in February 2012. Most recently, he was General Manager of the Electronic Arts/Playfish London studio. John spent four years at Playfish, first opening the San Francisco office and then moving to London to run the UK studio. He has extensive experience in social gaming product management, freemium business models, and studio building. He oversaw the release and live operation of Pet Society, Restaurant City, and The Sims Social: three of the most successful EA/Playfish games. Previously, John worked at Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA), where he oversaw product and business development for the PlayStation Network. Prior to SCEA, John was a Project Leader at the Boston Consulting Group, advising clients in the gaming and digital media industries. John started out his career in the US Navy where he served as an Officer for four years.
