Dublin Business Innovation Centre (Dublin BIC) was established in 1988 with private, public, educational and EU support. It assists and provides advice to new business projects and access to seed capital to selected enterprises. Dublin BIC accompanies entrepreneurs through the various start-up stages and continues to assist the business through the first 3 to 5 years. Dublin BIC has worked with and accelerated the development of a wide range of software, telecommunications and financial services companies. AIB Seed Capital Fund was established in 2007 to provide venture capital for companies at the seed and early stages of development across a range of sectors throughout the Republic of Ireland. The Fund was established under the Enterprise Ireland Seed and Venture Capital Programme 2007-2012. It has a total of Â53 million under management with AIB committing Â30 million and Enterprise Ireland Â23 million.
